Is there a DocMgr in MS Access

Sure! What do you need to know exactly?

It is simply to enter titles or are you wanting to track loans, due dates,
client information, book location, collection information, ISBN,...

Give us some details and we might be able to give you some guidance.

Your subject line asks about a DocMgr. I'm not aware of such a function in
Access.

If you mean a document management system written in Access, have you tried
searching on-line for that.

These newsgroups work well to help folks over specific roadblocks.

These newsgroups rarely work well if you're looking to have us design/build
a custom application.

More info, please...

Hi Carolyn,

I provide help with Access applications for a modest fee. I can work with
you to create a library that is searchable through Access for you. Contact
me if interested.

These newsgroups are provided by Microsoft for FREE peer to peer support.
There are many highly qualified individuals who gladly help for free. Stevie
is not one of them, but he is the only one who just does not get the idea of
"FREE" support. He offers questionable results at unreasonable prices. If he
was any good, the "thousands" of people he claims to have helped would be
flooding him with work, but there appears to be a continuous drought and he
needs to constantly grovel for work.

A few gems gleaned from the Word New User newsgroup over the Christmas
holidays to show Stevie's "expertise" in Word.

Word 2007 ..........
In older versions of Word you could highlght some text then go to Format -
Change Case and change the case of the hoghloghted text. Is this still
available in Word 2007? Where?
Thanks! Steve

I am designing a series of paystubs for a client. I start in landscape and
draw a table then add columns and rows to setup labels and their
corresponding value. This all works fine. After a landscape version is
completed, I next need to design a portrait version. Rather than strating
from scratch, I'd like to be able to cut and paste from the landscape
version and design the portrait version.

How do you protect the document for filling in forms?
Steve

One of my favourites:
Dec 30, 2008 8:07 PM - a reply to stevie
(The original poster asked how to sort a list and stevie offered to create
the OP an Access database)
Yes, you are right but a database is the correct tool to use not a
spreadsheet.

Not at all. If it's just a simple list then a spreadsheet is perfectly
adequate...

Dear Carolyn:

If you are looking for a "book library" application, there are a couple of
freely available templates from Microsoft, and many low cost shareware
applications available. Just Google "Library Software". You can certainly
build one in Access, but you might want to investigate existing
applications, rather than take the time and effort to build your own. Here's
a link to a "Book Collection" template:

.... and an "Asset Management" template:

Check out the following, it might be what you are looking for:

You might also be interested in a small library application which I have
created using Access, and which is available as freeware. It includes a
circulation system and an online catalogue. You can check it out here:

Please watch your language. These newsgroups were not provided so you can
have a childish rant.
