Is there a "color picker" in PowerPoint like in paint programs?

I need to match a new background created in PowerPoint to a color in an image
on that slide. Is there any kind of color picker tool in PowerPoint to do
this?

Thanks Lucy. I'll check them out tomorrow when I get back to working on the
project. I tried making a picture out of the image in PowerPoint, bringing
into my drawing program which has a color picker, then created a matching
background there. I printed it out to see if there was a difference and sure
enough you can see the edges. I guess it depends on how each program handles
color and then yet more differences when they send files to a printer.

I know, why does colour have to be so complicated? Why does something come
out completely differently on my printer compared to a pro printer compared
to my mac using friends? It drives me potty and whenever I try to read
articles about it I lose concentration *very* quickly. A bit like when I
start reading about numbering in word....

What Lucy said -- also Color Picker is not yet compatible with PowerPoint
2007 although it works great in earlier versions of PowerPoint.

It drives you "potty" ??? Next time we are together you need to bring a
local slang dictionary for me to reference! :)

I grew up in England, lived in Scotland and am now in Australia, so which
set of slang exactly?
