Hi all this post probably dosnt belong here but I have got great answers
from here before and now I have a floppy disk question.

Is there a bigger floppy disk than a 203mm x 203mm?
If there is what is it in millimeters so I can look out for one?

I was given one to collect and mount on my wall (yes very odd) but I seem to
think there is a bigger floppy disk out there from memory someone showed me
one and it was half the size bigger or more than the one mentioned.

Thanks
GK

Nope, that's as big as they get and was the original size.

Must have been something quite obscure if your
memory is correct. More likely it wasnt actually a floppy
but a removable cartridge, with a rigid disk inside.

I remember those, we used them on the old PDP-11. That brings back
horrible memories.

Every operating system out there is about equal. We all suck.

Yeah, specially the Pertecs. If you were standing next to them
when the mains failed, the head retraction mechanism was so
powerful that it retracted with one hell of a bang and you'd be
lucky if you didnt need to change your underwear after that.

There are the standard 3 1/2" floppies, and in ancient history there were
originally 5 1/4" floppies.

Yep. Still got one.

RL02K-DC with RT11 on it.

To the best of my knowledge (in the business over 35 years), the largest
'floppy disk' I've ever run across is the 8" varity.
