Is the Maxtor MaxLine Pro 500 a SATA2 only?

Hello,

can you confirm if the SATA version of the MaxLine Pro 500 is actually
a SATA2 only?
Cause it behaves erratically in a SATA1 external enclosure.

So it will do so also if connected internally.
