Is the 9800Pro useless to playback Premiere on TV?

I note that owners of matrox dual head PCI cards can use the Adobe Premiere
playback mode on a TV. On my 9800Pro I have played with all available
display and overlay settings but can only see a clone of the complete
desktop on either:

(a) my second monitor or
(b) my s-video connected TV

Has anyone had better results withn their 9800/Premiere setup?

Sounds like Premiere isn't using overlays.
