Is Temp Reported by Speedfan Accurate?

According to the latest version of Speedfan, the temp of my Q6600 (G0) is
around 21C and goes up to 25C under load. I'm not sure if the temp is
accurate. Isn't it too low?

I installed the same version on my 2nd PC which has an E6400 and Speedfan
reports 40C when the PC is idling and 50C under load.

Qxxxx is supposed to run hotter than Exxx, right?

It's as accurate as the sensor reporting the temp...

Hard to believe 2-25C -- just about room temp...

Installed Everest and it reports 28C as the CPU temp.

My E6850 reads 42-45 via SpeedFan under load. Looks like your sensor is not
reporting accurately.

I've found that Speedfan's reported temp for Quad is about 15C less than the
actual temp.

Speedfan shows about the same bias on my son's new Q6600 under full load.
