Is power point part of office 2000

A friend has office 2000 and says PowerPoint is not there (I thought it
was) Can he run PowerPoint 97 or 95 with office 2000?

A long long time ago when life was simpler, Microsoft Office used to
mean one thing. You either had it or you didn't. If you had it, you
had all it's applications. Now that life is more complicated. Office
includes standard editions, professional editions, academic editions,
etc. They all have a different subset of the numerous Office
applications. I wouldn't be surprised if one them didn't come with
PowerPoint. --David
 
Office 2000 Small Business Edition does NOT include PowerPoint. Probably
what he has. I believe he should be able to install PowerPoint 97 without a
problem. If he does incur a problem, try uninstalling PowerPoint 97 and
Office 2000 SBE, then install PowerPoint 97 first, then Office 2000 SBE.
However, I believe just installing PowerPoint 97 should be fine in this
case.
