Hi Everyone,

I have the Revo uninstaller program on my machine, and it shows a
installed program called PCHealth on my machine. I'm running WinXP Pro Sp3 .
I don't remember installing this program , although it could have been
freeware I was checking out and then forgot about.
The program doesn't show up in my Program files. Nor does the Add and
Remove programs show it as a installed program. PCHealth shows up in
C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth . And there is a
C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe , that takes me to Windows
Help and Support center.
So my question is , is C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth a legitimate Microsoft feature
or is it some form of malware ?

Thanks.

PCHealth is an MS product. It gets installed when you install XP.

Hi Larry,

Yes. PCHealth entry is a system component, which does not show up in
Add/Remove Programs.

If you accidentally remove it using a 3rd party program, you can restore it
using the instructions here:

Reinstalling Help and Support Center in Windows XP:

Hello Ramesh,
I made the same action with "Revo Uninstaller",I uninstalled PCHealth as
well !!!

Thanks for info, this should work - Reinstalling Help and Support Center in
Windows XP: > http://windowsxp.mvps.org/rebuildhelp.htm - , but I have my XP
installed on Laptop when I bought and I have no XP install CD.

Without XP CD can I restore XP Help and Support function ?

Thanks, Gyorgy
