I am wondering just how good and reliable the antivirus software PC-Cillin
is? Anyone have any experience or know of any reviews? Thanks.

Well, I think one significant measure of the product is its usability. I
can't remember the last time I read a post on a newsgroup or forum
complaining about configuration or resource limitation issues. It has
decent detection rates and for all of its features, is moderately
priced. It's not in the same league as KAV, but doesn't have the high
system overhead KAV demands either.

I'm trying the demo now for the last few days, and so far no mysterious
hangs and/or obvious bugs like I got with Panda and NOD32 (in fairness,
the NOD32 problems seem to be unique to this machine - it works
fine on a different one, but PC-Cillin doesn't even have problems
on this stubborn machine that has confounded others - so far :-).

Works for me on several PCs .. version 6, version 2002, 2002, 2003 and
2004. Very occasional hang ups, usually when auto-update screws up. I do
not use the firewall, webtrap, or email scanning options .. webtrap
caused problems with a few www pages, and the rest I have covered some
other way.

Thanks, Vesta,
I decided to purchase it, too. I've got it up and running and am
tweaking it as I go. I notice that is flags some of my emails as "Spam".
Any idea how to get it to block those items from showing up in the Inbox?

By design, the product doesn't delete or block mail marked as spam, for
good reason.

As I wrote in another thread, I've been using PC-cillin on several
machines for 2 years and it has served me well. No conflict or
stability issues. No AV prgram is fool-proof, but I think it's a
pretty decent one and easy to use.
