Is outlook 2003 compatible with vista?

Just got a new laptop with Vista Business, uninstalled the 2007 trials and
installed form orginal CD, office 2003, everything but outlook works, tells
me it is corupt or not the right version and tells me to reinstall... i have
done that many times, nay ideas?
 
2003 is compatible with vista
At what exact point does whatever say it is corrupt, wrong version
 
after i have installed and rebooted the pc, i then try to open outlook and it
gives me the error. I can open excel and word, they give me errors also but
let me use the program.

Start Word or Excel and click Help>Detect and Repair. Does it help?
 
Do you still get an err msg when opening Word / Excel?
If so what is the *exact* err.msg

What is the *exact* err.msg when opening OL?
