NIS is junk. But then, a lot of antivirus software falls
into this category. A general rule is that the more silly
gimmicks (safe surf, firewalls, phishing detectors etc) it
installs the more likely it is to be a placebo exercise
than genuine security.
A claim with nothing to back it up. It's far from junk anyway.
Malwarebytes is one of the better products these days.
Another claim with nothing to back it up. I don't see it as doing anymore
than spybot or several other mature programs.
Best way to keep your computer secure is:~
Install and use a better browser than IE.
But only if you iike its interface better or think something fits you
better. IE8 is an exellent implementation as is FireFox 3.6 stuff.
Run as a limited user, or use DropMyRights/StripMyRights to
run your browser.
Preferably, likewise for email.
Really? For e-mail? It's how you boot the COMPUTER that determines what
rights you have or not, not E-mail or the browser or anything else. You CAN
set a lot of security settings in browser & mail client, but they have
nothing to do with turning you into a limited user or not. As in your other
responses it appears you are just too lazy to do anything but get to see
yourself in print. I don't see an "x-no archive.." around so you've also
posted it for all posterity to see.
Vagueness like this is the first tip off to a lazy poster with little
data to help anyone, IMO.
Please be more thorough and at least provide some verifiable source of
information when all you do is use a few buzzwords.
