Miss Perspicacia Tick

I'm a little confused. I built my system nine months ago with an FX-53
(since upgraded to an FX-55) on an ASUS SK8V board. I wish to purchase the
following card, but I don't know if it's compatible with my board (OK, it
will work, but will I achieve 800Mbps speeds?) I may not have anything that
requires such speed now, but I like to future proof as far as possible... I
have RTFM and searched the ASUS site (and emailed ASUS, but they have yet to
reply and it's been months since I first asked them).

Or, if that wraps, http://tinyurl.com/7ze2f.

You might best just look inside at your mobo
and check whether you have the extended 64 bit PCI
sockets or not. The picture on the web site shows a
4th set of pins, 3 cutouts. The "normal" PCI will
accommodate only the first 3 and accepts 4.75" worth
of pins. If you want further info look here on page
7 for pictures of the various PCI connectors.
