Is my product genuine or is it not?

Is there anywhere I can get support for a "Product not genuine" issue
where the product itself says that it is *not* genuine, but the process
it takes me to says that it *is* genuine?

The product in case is Office 2003, but I can't find an applicable
newsgroup (well, not on my server).

I've approached my employer who supplied Office 2003 (IBM) and now I'm
trying to get Microsoft's attention (without paying).

The race is on to see who can ignore me the longest. I have to say that
IBM is doing splendidly, so far.

So, being with IBM myself, I'm taking the company line, and ignoring
(the popup that says it is not genuine).

If it helps any, the product ID is 70141-640-3482783-57560 but when I
tried to get help, and was asked for this, I was told that I'd typed
"-640-" incorrectly.

Perhaps corruption has been encountered. Have you tried a thorough
uninstall and re-install?

I'm not sure if this will be helpful:

I'll try out the suggestions there, thanks.

I'm sure that a un-install/re-install will fix this problem, but then
(presumably) I'll have to remember how to get all of my setup back. For
example, I have email accounts which work only because Office knows the
password (I don't). I can't get the password reset/changed because
officially I don't have a contract any longer (haven't for about 10
years), but the organisation hasn't cottoned on (so it's completely free).

Or is Office one of those products that doesn't erase its settings when
you uninstall it?
