I recently bought a system from Monarch Computer and have been having
some problems with it. They do not respond to technical support
requests and their forums are closed.

Do I have an Orphaned system?

I've ordered from them about a year ago and found them to be fairly good...
but had been a bit miffed that when I requested and paid extra for "rush"
delivery...
some of the parts were back ordered.

Anyway I understand that they are still in business
but have a very poor customer satisfaction rating

My advice is contact your credit card provider and dispute the charges for
the system,or get a lawyer.Monarch is on the verge of bankruptcy and legal
trouble, they've been ripping off customers for over a year and it's caught
up to them with a vengence.Just check out the forum at
ResellerRatings.com,hundreds of customers have been scammed by them.

That's too bad in a way, they used to be a good place to
get MB/CPU combos with the correct BIOS preinstalled.
But sometimes these places go bad. I guess that just makes
NewEgg more popular and gives them a bigger share of the
market.

I hope it doesn't send the message that it's not viable to
be providing testing and setup services.

Luck;
Ken

What I liked about Monarch was that for a very small add'l fee, they
pretested the mobo/cpu.

Normally I would never have paid for such...but it was a very expensive
machine...

One of the early X2's and for all that money I did not want any problems...

Though it's too bad about Monarch...I'm sure glad NewEgg is still reliable.

Twice now...I've made returns to them with *NO* hassle at all!

One was simply because I made a mistake in ordering...
and the other time I was not satisifed with the product.
