hello, i have a windows 2000 advanced server as part of a cluster, i
will be adding exchange 2000 enterprise and i have 4 gb ram in each
server. i added the /3GB to the boot.ini, but after i reboot task
manager memory numbers doesn't look any different than before.

but i don't know if it is supposed to look different. how do i tell
that even if the /3GB is even working? is there any way to tell? i
have not loaded exchange yet.

thanks!
AP

Nope memory numbers will not look different, it simply changes the distribution of the 4GB of RAM doled out to each
process so that system can only use 1GB and the Application can use 3GB. If the application is not specifically written
and compiled to use that additional 1GB of RAM available to it, it has no benefit and in fact for some programs if
written incorrectly, can cause issues.

thanks mvp joe! this will help me. but is there a way to tell if it
worked when the server loaded? or do i just have to wait and see.
