Is it worth swapping motherboards

My daughters P2B looks like it is finally dying a slow death. Keep
getting "page faults in non page area" error messages and the system
reboots on me. I have tested the memory using memtest, tried it in
different memory slots, moved PCI cards(SB Live, 3Com Ehternet)
around, no IRQ conflicts, reloaded windows (XP Pro), even took cards
out. Finally has resigned myself that the board may be going down the
tubes.

I have ordered a new board, CPU and memory. I ordered the A7N8X non
deluxe version like I currently have. Mine is the early version 1.04.
Is there any compelling reason to do a motherboard swap when the new
one gets here, and let my daughter use the old boad? Are there any
changes in newer revisions that will make it worthwhile to do a swap?
If I do swap, will the drivers I have right now work with the new
board (original 1.16). Any advice would be appreciated.

Unless there's evidence of failing electrolytic capacitors (bulging or
leaking) on the board, power supply is the more likely culprit.

I have already swapped out the power supply with a known good one with
the same results. I tried everything that was suggested after an
extensive search on the net. Only thing left is a defective board.

Aaah... OK.

Your original list of things tried didn't include power supply, so I
thought I'd suggest it :-)

An unstable P2B series board is unusual - they're usually alive or dead.
I'll pay postage and investigate further if you'd like to donate it :-)
