is it worth my upgrade?

save your money for a 9800 Pro or, in a while, a x800. The jump from a
ti4600 to a 9600xt probably won't be worth it.
 
Hi I currently running a Geforce 4 ti 4600 vivo from XFX, was wondering if
it is worth my upgrade to a 9600xt (this card is within my budget). My
system specs is as follows: athlon xp 3200+, a7n8x dlx V2.00, 1 gig dual
channel ddr 400, 520 watt PSU. (Note: the 9600xt is ATI made card). thanks
for any feed back.

You get DX9 and some speed increase. I'd get the 9800 Pro instead for a big
jump.

the 9600xt ..well... will give you DX9... but it won't be an upgrade
gamingspeed wise!

Go for an 9800 Pro ..one with a 256bits memory bus. Then you recieve a HELL
lot more speed ..and DX9!
