Here's a test which will raise a red flag as though a genuine threat had
been detected.
I need to emphasize that there is a genuine threat which the dialog box is
intended to warn about, but the way in which you will invoke this dialog is
entirely harmless.
1) open a command prompt window.
2) cd \windows (or \winnt as appropriate for your version of Windows.)
type:
md winlogon.exe
and hit enter (i.e. create a directory/folder named winlogon.exe
wait about 15 seconds.
You should see a red warning dialog box referencing Multibot Pro Security
disabler.
You can choose either choice in that red dialog box--neither will have any
effect--I recommend allow. I do NOT recomment "allow always."
Once you've seen the warning dialog box, do this in the command prompt
window:
rd winlogon.exe
and hit enter
exit (to close the window)
This is a harmless way to invoke this dialog box and test whether real-time
protection is, in fact, working on your system. There's a longer story
behind why this works, but I won't bore you with it--it's all here in one of
these groups!
