the first time i ran this program i was so pleased with
what it found. that was about a month ago and it hasn't
found one piece of spyware since. I also run Adaware and
it comes up with spyware every other day or so when i run
it. Is something up with this software?

Adaware and Spybot and some other antispyware applications look for cookies
and dataminers, and MSAS does not (at least in its current Beta 1 release).

Let me know if you get an answer. This program is not
finding any spyware but Adaware finds spyware everyday.

Hi Ellen. You're lucky that it worked at all! I
installed mine an hour ago and ran a scan to test it. It
found nothing - a great big fat Zero. I then ran Adaware
(which I've used for a long time (and I like) It found 6
critical files + 125 negligible. Guess what I'm going to
be using in the future?

Please take a closer look what actually Adaware has found - were they not
just cookies? Are they so "critical"?

And besides - what version of MSAS have you installed? Have you updated the
definition files? Have you performed a full system scan?

No offence, but if you did not all the above, and it were just cookies that
Adaware has found - then your "test" is just a "big fat Zero"..
