Can anybady help in this regard.

Thnks in advance..

Hi,
it is advisable not to update boot.ini directly instead you can use some
third party tools for that , AFAIK if you change/update or add only path in
boot.ini it won't work .

Best Regards

The file c:\boot.ini is a plain text file. If you know the correct
syntax then you can modify the file with an ordinary text
editor, e.g. with notepad.exe.

Of course you can save a copy with a different name such as boot.old .
But I like to do it all on a floppy disk first. Format a floppy on
the target system (important!), copy ntldr, ntdetect.com, boot.ini, and
a little stand alone text editor to the floppy. (I used the old Norton
Editor for this.)

Boot with the floppy in A: . It should bring up your normal system.
Modify the boot.ini on the floppy to suit your needs, booting after
each milestone. When you're happy with it, copy it back onto C:. You
probably will need to unhide and make it writeable.
