is it actually possible to make an account on your computer but have it
hidden on the startup screen? if u no wat i mean. but without having that
thing that asks you to "login" with a username. so like the original
startupscreen with those icons but to still have an account which is hidden
from view ie 4 accounts but only 3 seen?

You can do it installing Tweakui from this site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

In the logon section you can chose the users account that must be
show/hidden in the welcome screen.

Another option would be to deselect the "Use the Welcome screen" option in
"Change the way users logon or off" in "User Accounts" in Control Panel.
Each user now would have to enter their own user name and password. The
actual number of accounts setup on your computer would not be immediately
obvious. However the number of accounts setup still can be determined in
the "C:\Documents and Settings" folder on your hard disk.
