I would like to update to Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 omn
my PC at home. I do not have internet connection at home
and so, I downloaded the service pack executable file at
work and copied the file to a zip disk.

However, when I attempted to implement the update on my
home PC, the update process attempted to connect to the
internet but because I do not have internet connection at
home, the update could not be implemented.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You need to download the "network install" version of the service pack and
not the "express install."

The network install is the full service pack.

The express install is essentially a download manager that goes out to the
internet to download only the parts of the service pack that are needed for
your machine.

Burn the network install to a CD and you can install it on a non-networked
computer.
