Is it possible to return defective hardware directly to Asus ?

Hello,

I am wondering if it's possible to return defective hardware directly
to Asus and get a new/repaired motherboard ?

For example the supplier (iComputers.nl) (internet store in Holland)
could have registered the motherboard when I bought it.

Or maybe I could have send a form registering the motherboard so that
the waranty period starts ?

This would save the supplier some work (having to resend it and
information stuff).

Also it would have been possible to sell my computer to somebody else
and then he could still claim warranty.

I think such a thing is possible with XFX graphics cards ?

For example cards purchased on e-bay... and such... what about
motherboars, particullary asus motherboards ? :)

Who knows and can tell me more about this possible possibility ? ;)

In the EU you usually return to where you purchased, allthough if Asus has a
local office you could return it there so long as you get an RMA
If purchased from Ebay, unless you get a specific statement that its covered
by Asus, you are probably stuffed since Asus will want to know from where it
was purchased.

Nothing found yet about RMA stuff.

It says contact your reseller for repair of motherboard ;)

(You got info about RMA's from asus ???)

If your reseller won't/can't handle an RMA then Asus must if it's a retail
board.Box,manual etc..All manufactureers have warranties on their products.
If it's an oem board you're stuck with the place you bought it.
You warranty will start from the date on your invoice/receipt.
I vey much doubt you'll get warranty service for something bought on
ebay,unless it's an unopened retail box.
