Not silly at all :-) - Format background will effectively do all cells,
whereas you might want to colour certain cells only, but not have it print out.

That would be a nice feature, I agree. But for my immediate need the
"background" solution will suffice.

This is rather silly question It's not that very important but if there is
an easy solution it would make my sheet nicer to look at. I'd like to be
able to assign color to some cells but when printing I don't want the color
to be printed.

Is it possible? Most likely not :--(

Hi Paul,

Thanks but please disregard my silly question. I didn't know it was possible
to set sheet background which is non-printable. (Format, Sheet, Background)
That solved my problem.

Good stuff - Just didn't want you to feel that you shouldn't have posted that's
all. It's always better to ask than to simply keep quiet - what can it hurt,
and that's what the groups are here for. Anyway, glad you are sorted.
