Thanks in advance for any help. I am tasked with creating and maintaining a
department intranet presence using as source a rather lengthy, and growing
(+200 slides), PP presentation. The powers that be want to continue working
in PP. That is, adding new content and modifying existing content based on a,
say, lessons learned scenario. What I want to do (in the context of already
having created a target website) is go to the FP's File menu and select
Import and have a dialog open that presents me with an "Import PP Slides"
option. When I select that option, FP will make a separate HTML page of each
slide and, to boot, shove any images into the Images folder, and so on. Oh,
it'll keep all formatting, backgrounds, that sort of thing, too! Okay, now
that I'm awake and no longer dreaming, does anyone know what I can really
accomplish along this line? I can't seem to find a way in FP to just import
the PP content and then use it as FP content. Can that be done? Thanks again
for sharing your expertise.

You can use PowerPoint to export a series of HTML files that can be
Imported into FrontPage. Use Save as Web Page from the PowerPoint
File menu, then import the output file and its support folder
containing all images and pages.

Thanks Ron. I'm trying your siggestion right now. BTW, I'm using PP 2003 SP2
and FP 2003. Sorry for the omission.

I tried the Save As Web Page function and got a single .mht file, not a
series of HTML files. How does that work?

File > Save As Web Page -

Is that what you used?

It's right there on the File menu

In the Save dialogue, change the dropdown at the bottom from Single
Page (.mht) to web page (.htm)
The actual descriptions may vary, above is from poor memory.

All what these other folks said is correct. There is another option. If your
company does not shelling a little green there is a really neat add on that I
use for PowerPoint that will not only solve your problem but make it look
really cool on a webpage. Check out http://www.articulate.com
