Is it possible to download a service pack.

I recently waited 2 hours for service pack 4 to download
over my dial-up. Is there anyway to download a service
pack or update just once, so I can reuse it 6 months from
now if I have to reload my OS?

Please Help,

You wanat to download the entire SP4 package. Search MS's
site for it (it should be 120+MB file so be willing to
wait).

Yes, you can download SP4. Start at this URL (may have to
copy/paste if it wraps) to choose your language:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks
/sp4/default.asp

The full version (as opposed to the express install) is
129 MB. But you only have to do it once if you get a clean
download. Stash it in a shared folder and pull it across
your local network on an as-needed basis. Works great.

Alternatively, if you know someone with a TechNet
subscription, you can ask them to burn it to a CD for you.
I think it came with the July or August issue last year.

Good luck,
