Is it possible to add BCM to installed Office 2007 Plus w/ Outlook

The Plus suite has Outlook but not BCM. If I purchase a copy of Outlook w/
BCM, can I simply "upgrade" or add-in BCM to my current installed Suite?

IOW, will MSFT activation handle leaving my Office Plus suite activated and
then allow me to activate BCM when it is detected as an addition to my system?

Thanks for a timely reply.

That's really a question for Microsoft. You may need to reinstall Ol,
or update its Activation Key to install the license to use BCM.

Hi Luther,

I see that you continue your "community service" as a helpful contributor to
this forum. Thank you.

Having a dual-boot system with a "sandbox" for seeing what works, I went
ahead with some experimentation. Here's the very interesting and good news
that I learned... and I will be somewhat cryptic here as I don't want to be
too explicit about how this works.

1. You can't get a 60-day trail of Outlook 2007 with Business Contact
Manager stand-alone. When you indicate this interest, you get pointed to
download the MS Office Pro version which includes Outlook w/ BCM. Since I had
a "sandbox" to experiment in, I figured I would risk "trial-izing" my MS
Office 2007 in my sandbox in order to see how BCM worked as a candidate
solution for us.

2. The MS Office Pro download is a two-part affair, both self-extracting
exe's of the CD-ROMs that come with the physical product. As I am on a fast
connection, the second part of the download came in and initiated its
self-extraction and setup wizard BEFORE I could get going with overwriting my
current activated installation of the primary Office apps.

3. So I simply canceled the primary Office 2007 Trial installation and
switched my attention to the install running for the second part (which
installs the MS Office Accounting and BCM components).

4. Here, "magic happens" by simply going forward with the install.

Bottom line, I can now evaluate BCM without trashing my installed MS Office
2007 Pro Plus installation. Read into this what you will. If you are
wondering as I did what would happen, simply try this process out and see if
you are as surprised as I was.
