Is it possbile?

Hi

Is it possible to to write html or javascript that says, this link,
say,
"http://localhost/data.doc" is actually linked to (or a pointer to)
"http://10.0.0.2/data.jpg"?
So when I click on the link, I will bring up different application for
it, but still download it from another host?

Hi dillogimp,

Yep, that's how phishing sites and spam work, though there are settings and
add-ons for IE to defeat it. I am afraid that it comes down to the naivety
of the user and deception by the web developer... The Weakest Link = the nut
holding the keyboard.
