is it ok 2 defrag when on the net and stuff

Yes Vista is made to do this. However I am not sure if Vista ignores the
temp files
which are created as you use IE. If it does not ignore them then your best
defrag
does not occur as when you have deleted all the temp files and other garbage
on
the system.

When I defrag I kill the net, switch off as many running apps and processes
as I can and delete all temp files. This ensures that as much as possible
is defragged as quick as possible.
 
Using the Default Vista Defragger it probably helps more that you remove
Temp and
garbage files than being off the computer. The Vista defragger is set to use
very little
resources in the background anyway.
