is it me or is there a massive increase in XP problems?

Seems like there were few problems a while ago, mostly people not knowing
where settings / switches are located. (Some are well hidden). After
having hard disk problems XP could not deal with (resulting in corrupted
registry), it seems like there are many more problems. Is M$ preparing for
the release of the next os? Generating new customers?
 
No just new users entering the mainstream. I for one have NEVER had a single
problem.
