i was just wondering is it illegal to use a copy of
windows xp that someone lends you if u did not purchase it
or register it to your name please email back a answer
thank you

Yes this is illegal.... since the "lending" includes that
the "lender" will also use this copy for himself...and
you cannot use the same copy of Windows multiple times...

I think you already know the answer to this one.

Using any software which you have not purchased a valid
licence for unless it's freeware/shareware. is illegal.

Plus you are putting you computer at risk by using un-
licenced software, not getting access to support and
update's such as Service Packs.

In addition to being in violation of the license, you will not be able to
activate it on your machine and it will time-out after 30 days.

Fritz.
Mike Bright should should said
unless it freeware/adaware/gpl (gnu)

However, Shareware you must purchase it after usually after a 30 day
trail period. Some shareware even after so many uses must be
purchased.

We actual don’t know if its actual illegal. However, It is against
the eula.

I do appologise, I thought we were answering a general
question I could have listed a number of different
altered licences inclusing gpl e.t.c.

But I was generalising.
