I am new to AD and would like to know:

Is it possible to install 2 NIC on a Windows Server -
1) Set up the Server as a Domain Controller in LAN 1
2) Set up another NIC which address is part of a Workgroup
(Different subnet address) ?

Yes, you could; though I'm not sure what you think you'd gain from it.

Dear Richard,

From my understanding, LAN means a collection of subnets. I wonder why the
Domain Controller can belongs to a Domain and a workgroup ?

A domain controller is a server that performs AD functions. It can be
attached to a workgroup (physically), but it will not be a member of that
workgroup.

No, a LAN is a "Local Area Network", or a group of devices connected by a
physical network. That network may be wired or wireless, but that is what a
LAN is.

Maybe you should consider describing what you're trying to accomplish - I'll
bet there's an easier way to go about it.
