Suddenly today I found that my desktop has taken a 90 degree turn.
That is my start button is facing right of the computer instead of straight
up.
Even icons have made a 90 degree turn.
Is it a prank played by one of my friend or something is wrong with my
computer.
Please help me to get out of this mess
Thanks.

It is probably the video card settings, right click on the icon in the
system tray, you will probably find there is a setting to rotate the
display.

If there is no icon select control panels - display - settings -
advanced and examin the various tabs there.

Hi

Try this:

Right click the Desktop, select Properties>Settings>Advanced. See if there
is a setting in there to rotate the screen back to normal. If you have
Nvidia software installed try clicking on the tab for your graphics card and
have a look for NVRotate on the left hand side.

If you do have an Nvidia card there may be an icon in the Notification Area.
If so, right click on it, select Rotation Settings and then set it to 0
degrees

this often happens by mistake, some drivers have hotkeys
(a combination of pressed keys) that rotates ..
this is a normal function.. but yes someone might have done it
to see how you would react :-D
