Is Go Back compatible with WinXP?

Having carelessly lost a vital document, I was wondering if Go Back, which I
used to have bundled with my Win98, would be compatible with WinXP and its
System Restore facility.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Stuart;
The version you had bundled with Windows 98 is probably not compatible
with Windows XP.
I know the version I use to have for Windows 98 was not compatible
with Windows ME without a patch.
Check the manufacturers website to verify.

Version 3.0 with patch IS compatible, and works well in lieu of System
Restore!

Not to mention that you would have had to have that loaded before you lost
the file. And anything you add to your computer reduces the chance that your
file will still be intact. Let's hope you've turned it off and you're
posting from a different computer.

There are plenty of file recovery programs available online. You might want
to search the out. Depending on how vital the file is, you can decide what
you're willing to pay to try to recover that file.

Stuart;
After reading the other answers, I may have missed part of your
intent.
Installing Go-Back will not allow you to go back to that time.
Go-Back must already be installed and functional at the time of the
issue.

Are you able to get more than 2 days history with GoBack?????
commenys please??

Thanks

It all depends upon the size of the hard drive and the amount of
"contiguous" free space available. When I set it up on my son's computer the
program created a file of 4 gig (maximum allowed) for the GoBack information
on his 40 gig drive. My son is able to go back 2-3 weeks with the file at
this size. But remember, it is NOT archival storage. It is to save your ass
in an emergence. If you have a major disaster nothing beats a good system
backup!

I recenlt reformatted my hard drive and attempted to reinstall Go Back (latest version). Previously, I had it installed and running with no problems

Before reformatting, I disabled Go Back for all drives, as recommended ny the manufacturer

Now, when I try and installit, my system goes into a reboot, and continuously does so without allowing me to access Windows (XP - Home)

The only cure is to use system Restore from Safe Mode to roll back my system prior to the installation

Has anyone had this problem, and is there a solution?
