Symantec web page claims "NEW! Windows® interface makes it easy to backup
and restore data."

Does it run on WinXPH now? Can I have a dedicated partition at the front of
the Ghosting HDD with which to accomodate a WinXPH paging file for maximum
Ghosting speed?

That really just means that you setup the image
creation and restore at the Win level. It still reboots
to DOS to actually do say the image creation.

Nope.

Ghost doesnt work like that.

It's basically a DOS utility.

It can be run through a Windows interface. To do the actual ghosting, it
reboots the machine into a DOS environment (I forget which one - it's not
MS-DOS). When it is finished writing, it reboots the machine again, back
into XP.

I'm not sure, but I believe that it can't write an image of a partition onto
an NTFS volume. (It can image and restore an NTFS volume, but not write an
image.)

If I'm mistaken in any of the above, I'll cheerfully welcome corrections.
