I want to do some light web page creation and this is the only program
I have in house. Are there any known issues running FrontPage 97 on XP
Pro?

As far as I know it will fail, but might work if run in Compatibility
mode. You must install IIS and FP extensions on Windows XP Pro (from
the Windows CD) first, and as Steve said, do a custom install and DO NOT
allow any web server to be installed from the FP97 disc. (If you do
allow this you may have to reformat and reinstall Windows to get things
working again.)

A better idea is to download a virtual machine from Microsoft, then
install FP97 on that. - if it goes pear shaped you can start again
without problems.

Virtual Machine:

VM disc image with Licensed Windows XP installed: (limited usage expires
4 January 2007)

Total download time: 21 hours at 56000bps

Note - I do not know which version of Windows XP is included in the disc
image. If it is Win XP Home, then I do not think FP97 will work at all.
