Right click My Computer - Properties - Advanced - Startup & Recovery (Settings) - System Failure - and unselect Automatically
restart
- won't cure your problem, but will probably at least give you some sort of error when your system crashes or locks up
Errors should be Event Viewer (to see them use Right click My Computer - Manage)
Agree if it is a driver issue you should probably reinstall (recover) & start over

| it does it once a day, sometimes when online and soetimes not. never when i
| was really running frontpage. gateway suggest i run the restore disc but i
| really would rather not do this. i have my own log and do not know anything
| about event log. anything you can suggest would be helpful. we could
