Form tool V5 is installed on our Windows 2000 Terminal Services on a local
drive under program files. I needed to remove Domain admin privileges from a
few of the user accounts. Before I removed these rights, the program worked
fine. As soon as I removed these rights, the users started receiving the
following message when trying to open their form tool icon/file: "Failed to
update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT." After they click okay
to the message form tool loads, but the form they are trying to view does not
launch automatically. The user has to search for the location of the form
and then open it. I tried uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it
again on terminal services. The administrator account does not experience
this issue. Users, who are using Form tool V5 off of Terminal Server and on
their local workstation, do not experience this issue. Giving the user's
back the administrative (Domain Admin) rights is not an option. Would this
be a compatibility issue with the software? Any help, advice, or suggestions
are greatly appreciated.
