Hello Diane.

You recently helped me restore my Personal folders after a mother board
replacement. My remaining problem is the address book. All my contacts
appear in Outlook in the Contacts folder, however, when I send a message and
open the address book it is empty. How should I proceed?

Peter

Hi Peter,

Well I'm not Diane but I think I can help you anyway.

If you rightclick the Contacts folder choose properties and go to the tab
Outlook Address Book is the option "Show this folder as an e-mail Address
Book" checked?
If not; check it
If it's greyed out you'll need to add the service first. You failed to
mention your version of Outlook but for Outlook 2002 and 2003;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts-> Add a new directory or address book-> Additional
Address Books-> Outlook Address Book

And if that doesn't work, try adding a new contact. Do all your contacts
appear now? If so, you can delete the new contact. I had this problem
and creating a new contact fixed it for me; it may solve your problem.
