Is defender worth it?

In terms of computer security, I don't know much beside purchasing and
installing a product. I have been using defender for some time now, and want
to know if everyone out there feels that this is a productive product that
meets expectations?
 
So--how do you feel about what you paid for Windows?
Seriously--I think theres an amazing value built into Defender. It is rough
around the edges now, but I think it really will make a measurable
difference in the problem it is intended to solve. And the gesture of
creating the app and providing it as part of the original Windows purchase,
is a pretty nice one, I'd say.

There you go... trying to change the subject. :) WD is worth every penny it cost... at twice the price! But, if it went production in it's present form, I'd have to pass, free or otherwise.

I totally agree... provided they can get past the rough edges.
