Is 'click stopping' audio possible?

Todd

I would like to have several audio samples on one slide that can be
played and stopped by clicking on the icon provided. At the moment, it
seems that my only option is to play the audio for it's duration
before it stops. Which of course, is a drag, since my presentation is
all about providing the user with samples of various audio samples on
different pages. If they have heard enough of one sample to "get the
idea", and want to listen to another, they can't until the first one
has stopped. Is there a way around this, or is this program too
limited to allow such a seemingly simple function to exist?
Thanks for any help.

What version of PowerPoint are you using? In PowerPoint 2002 (alias
PowerPoint XP) you can apply a trigger to start a sound file when clicked
and stop it when next clicked.

I have not yet checked on PowerPoint 2003, but I assume the functionality is
the same.

Hi Todd

If the audio is a WMV file, you can just hit escape and the audio stops

But I think the trigger thing works as well in PPT2003.
