Is it possible that PC to access a bad sector in HD causing
shut down and restart automatically again? I had two HD
doing the same thing. I foun done HD had a bad sector.
I reformated again one HD. Seem like fixing bad sector did
fix the unexpect shut down. I'm not sure 100% but I've to see
or anyone has same experience.

I doubt that very much.

There are some (older, inferour) disk designs that can
get bad sectors when the PC is shut down while a disk
access is in progress.

Bad sector usually only causes error and if it's where part of the OS
are, problem booting up. But bad sector will not cause shut down or
restarts.

A few things comes to my mind about random shut down and reboots:

Have you run anti-virus and spyware program lately? Flaky programs
can also cause that so did you downloaded anything from the internet?
Uninstall recently installed program(s).

Do you have a spare power supply for your PC? Cheap power supply
(especially those made around 2000 due to bad caps) can cause intermit
issues.

If it's not virus, spyware, and your PSU is fine you could try running
tests like Memtest to rule out bad memory. Bad compoment is more
likely to cause BSOD but it depends on the OS and if they are set to
restart automatically on BSOD or not.

As a last resort, a complete low level format and a reinstallation of
new OS may help.

Can't see why not if that is how the OS
is programmed to do in certain situations.

More fool you. Have fun listing the OSs that are
'programmed' to do that in that particular situation.

You probably right. I bought power supply was so cheap that you
couldn't believe how
cheap it was. I did low level format on two HD and reinstalled new OS.
The Unexpect shut down are fixed but now
sometimes the HD sudden trying to access sector on D: drive when I
did not acess D: Drive then it gets frozen
the whole computer. No mouse. No keyboard working. I've to reset it.
Do you think this is caused by
bad power supply?
