The broadband Internet service you use typically does not have to be
compatible with your operating system. The DSL modem you get from your DSL
provider does not have to be installed on your PC and recognized by Windows.
It just has to work with the DSL line, so it can provide an Internet
connection to your computer, through the network port.
You must have a working network adapter on your computer, of course.
Just received yahoo dsl and was able to install it on my sony vaio laptop that had Microsoft Vista Home Premium already installed --no problems. Which is saying a lot because I'm still not able to get my laptop to work with my new printer (bought laptop and printer together--both are a month old). I've downloaded the driver etc-no success. but yes yahoo dsl is compatible with vista
