I also checked my default printer, but it was there and appeared to be
ok.
I checked my add-ins (and it's not easy to find these). The trick is
to
click on "manage addins". It turned out to be a problem with the add
in
BCM,
which is not a big surprise to me because I've been struggling with BCM
errors for the last 10 months. I removed this add-in and it resolved
the
problem.
Good luck,

:
That didn't help. I have two printer drivers installed, one for an HP
7350
and one (default) for an HP 7180. I still get the error message on
exiting
PowerPoint.
:
Make sure you have a default printer driver installed (I know,
sounds
weird.) Use the one listed here as a test:
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00605.htm
Then check for add-ins. Office Button | PPT Options | Add-ins.
What's
listed
there?

When I exit Powerpoint 2007, I get an irritating message
"Powerpoint
has
encountered a problem and needs to close". Of course, this is
after
jt
has
closed. Other than that, it seems to work perfectly. I don't get
this
message with other Office applications. Any ideas on the cause
and
how to
fix it?
