BEN

Thanks Jonathan,

I did have a message saying "you have been signed out of
the .net passport service because you are signed in at
another location"

It came up every time MSN tried to connect to the net...

but I took your advice, and checked off MSN messenger,
under the "what messenger do you want to protect"
heading, in Norton Anti-Virus 2003.....and I think it
worked!

Well done my boy!, well done!

Also, do you know, by any chance, how to get rid of the
advertisements on the left hand side of MSN mesgr., and
that banner at the bottom as well?

Cheers!

PS. Just out of a matter of interest, what does the V in
MVP stand for? (just curious)
..

Greetings Ben,

Glad to hear it.

On the left hand side -- to you mean the tabs? If so, just open up the main Messenger
window, click the Tools menu, then Options, then Privacy tab, check 'This is a shared
computer, so don't display my tabs' and click OK.

As for the banner at the bottom, that's what aids in the cost of operating the .NET
Messenger network, so although there are "apps" and "patches" around which will help you get
rid of it, I refuse to promote any of them.

The V stands for Valuable =).
