Hi

When I was running some games, after a few minutes, I
stuck in a blue screen that said irq_not_less_or_equal.
At the end of the message, it said that the driver
causing this problem is atapi.sys. In the other day, I
also stuck in a blue screen but with different error
message that said page_fault_in_non_paged_are.

After I searched the solution over the net, it seems that
this is a hardware problem regarding irq resources. But,
even after moving my soundcard to another slot, it won't
solve my problem.

Anyone know how to fix this prolem ?

Thank You

My Specs is :
Windows XP Home Edition [ will upgrade to Pro Edition ]
AMD 1.1 ghz
MSI K7T Pro2-A
Matrox G400 Max 32 mb
Soundblaster Live! 5.1
160 mb RAM
Maxtor Hardisk 40 gb

Your memory modules may be incompatible. To find out
download "AIDA32 - Personal" from:
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
and install and run it. Click on the '+' next to
"Motherboard", then on "SPD", then on each "Device
Description". The characteristics it lists for your memory
modules should match, except for size.

Then run "memtest86" (download it from
http://www.memtest86.com) to thoroughly check out your
memory. You should get zero errors.

Also, you should really have at least 256MB of memory
for Windows XP, and 512MB for it to run really well.
If you upgrade your memory, be sure to buy one of the
top brands -- Crucial, Kingston, Corsair or Mushkin.
I would recommend ECC if your mainboard will support
it.

Changing the slot won't necessarily change the IRQ & such.
Check in the Device Manager that no IRQ/etc is being shared, if possible.
(In the Device Manager, alt-double-click on Computer)
