Has anyone come across this problem, a BSOD whenever I try to do a modem
test in WinFaxBasic in win 2000? Winfax installed but it won't start as it
won't firstly configure the application because during the setup process it
always gives this BSOD when/immediately after it tests the modem on an AMD
1.2 GHz Acer system with 512 Meg Ram.
Is it OK to run the setup in safe mode or would that cause more problems
than it solves?
Winfax comes off the Systemworks that shipped in 2001 so was supposedly
designed for Win2000. I bought it after I had successfully used winfax 9.0
with 2000 when Symantec shamed me into thinking that 9.0 definitely wouldn't
work with 2000 or XP. (Actually this is the first problem I have had with
either)
