irq setting changes

hi can anyone help me figure out how to chnage my irq
settings. when i go to device manager and click on device
i want irq changed for i cannot click on box.
 
No can do unless you replace ACPI PC HAL with a Standard PC HAL. Windows
2000 does a pretty good job of managing those IRQ's so perhaps you could
say why you want to cripple the PC?
 
Also, if it's a newer motherboard, could enable APIC. Then you get
the best of both worlds; everything with it's own IRQ and ACPI power
management.
