I got a blue screen crash.................
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL beginning dump of physical memory which
then takes forever to write a file called memory.dmp in C:\windows
How can I reboot next time and interrupt the 20 minute writing for memory.dmp?
Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.
In the Startup and Recovery window do 2 things:
1. Click on the checkbox for "automatically restart" to clear it.
This will stop your computer from rebooting automatically when these
errors occur, thereby giving you time to make note of the full
particulars of the error message. All of the details, including
parameter values, are important clues that are often needed when
trying to identify the cause of these errors.
2. Under the heading "Write debugging information" there is a drop
down menu with several choices for the memory dump options. Select
either "(none)" or "Small memory dump (64 KB)" from the menu.
Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.
Good luck
