Irfanview install question

I have an older version of Irfanview and want to install the newest. Do
I need to delete the old first, last, or will the install update what I
have?
 
I currently have 3 versions of Irfanview on my 'puter ... due to some
changes over the past 6 or 7 seven years in what the program will do ...
have no problems.
